Diyab Basheer is an award-winning filmmaker driven by a lifelong passion to leave a mark on the history of art and cinema. His films have earned international acclaim, receiving awards from Sony, Canon, Sennheiser, international film festivals, and more.

As the founder and inaugural festival director of the WOIS Film Festival—one of the UAE’s most notable film events—Diyab continues to champion emerging voices in cinema. His works have been screened at international festivals and featured in major media outlets, reflecting his dedication to compelling storytelling and cinematic craft.

Alongside his filmmaking career, Diyab serves as a Video Producer at The National. He holds a BA in Media & Communication (Film and Television Production) from MAHE Dubai and remains an active contributor to the UAE’s vibrant film landscape.
